With the thermal screen, the brood chamber of the bee colony can be restricted during the autumn and winter months. This optimises the heat balance within the hive.
The thermal fence is based on the principle of the adapted brood chamber. The heat shield is used to narrow the brood chamber and thus increase the honey yield. The thermal partition also ensures optimised thermal insulation.
The thermo differences are a wooden frame construction with biological insulating material. Both sides are covered with plywood. Ideally, two thermal screens are hung on the left and right of the brood nest. The bees thus have a lower heat loss, which leads to a larger brood size. The lower energy consumption of the bees also reduces food consumption.
Das Dämmschied ist ideal für den Herbst, Winter und vor allem für das Frühjahr, wenn die Bienen in Brut gehen und die Nächte aber noch kühl sind. Durch die Isolierung reduziert sich die Brutpause und die Bienen starten so stärker in die Frühtracht.
The heat screen is also suitable for organic beekeeping.
